First news first - I don't have to work tonight or tomorrow!!! After working 3 jobs for 6 days straight I actually get two whole days off! It's unbelievable :)
Meeting of the Minds
Once again Neila and I were able to meet just before the beginning of another round of HSKS. I'm so grateful for Neila because she has been very good in her contributions to this swap, as well as helping me to think through some the additions and changes that inevitably have to be made every time. A few of the changes that we discussed will be listed below in the Job Board.
Thank you, Neila!!
Our daughters Aimee and Siouxane tagged along.

S.P.E.W. Director
This person will coordinate the efforts of the 3 donation sites that we have pre-chosen to donate excellent knitware to. You will be the main person updating the S.P.E.W. blog and keeping track of all items donated between the 3 sites. You will oversee our coordinators in charge of Canada, the United States and Egland.
S.P.E.W. Coordinator - Canada
As a S.P.E.W. coordinator you will coordinate the delivery of the knitware donated in Canada to a charity that we have pre-chosen. You will work closely with the S.P.E.W. Director.
Best Kit Coordinator
As the Best Kit Coordinator you will maintain a blog that we will designate soley for the purpose of displaying kit pictures. You will post the kit pictures along with the name of the person that created the kit so that we can all look back on it later, gain ideas, and use the pictures in the blog to vote for the Best Kit when the time comes.
Dueling Club Coordinator
As the Dueling Club coordinator you will keep a diagram of all the contestants updated per round, choose patterns that increase in difficulty with each round, and post the appropriate information to the main HSKS blog as the competition progresses.

Many of the more detailed knitting events and swaps are asking for a small donation to go towards the hosting fees and such. But, what we ask of our participants is that each of you donate a small knitted or Harry Potter related item to be used in the inevitable angel kits that Deputy Headmistress Neila puts together at the end of the swap. We also use items for all the contests and trivia games that take place during the swap.
If you are not able to donate do not fret! That doesn't mean that you will not be able to participate. We are simply willing to take what we can get. If you are able to donate - great! If not that is okay too.
Planning your purchases
This swap is going to take place during one of the most expensive times of the year. That means that we are going to be a little bit tougher on making sure that people have planned out their purchases for their kits. Waiting until the last minute is not acceptable, especially since the last minute is right before Thanksgiving and Christmas. If you do not think that you'll be able to follow through with getting your kit mailed before the deadline, please do not join in this swap. If you are in 3 other swaps at the same time, please, please do not join this swap. We need to make sure that every participant will be treated with respect and that they will get as well as give.
